WIRD would like to thank all the volunteers and skaters that made the night a huge success!

The Cherry Bombers skated on the track first for introductions but it was the Bandaid Bandits that
stole the show with a great zombie nurse routine.  Once all the shenanigans were over and the teams
got down to skating, the scores were very close with only a few points in it either way. 
The hits were solid and furious, the defending put up by WhiteHawk and Janis Job'em made sure
it remained a close game despites Tracy Cyclone's best efforts. A barrel roll from AVO
saw a direct hit to Demanders face! St Johns attended the injury, and Demander was back on the
track a few jams later. 
The new skaters accounted themselves valiantly with solid blocking from both the Bandits and Cherry Bombers.

 
At half time the Bandaid Bandits led by five points, but a solid clean hit from Unleashed
saw Sredy, the star jammer of the Bandits leave the game with a knee injury. 
The Cherry Bombers took the opportunity with both hands and didnt let up.  With DropBear
at the jammer line, the Bombers walked the pack allowing the jammer to score a 15 point jam.
At the last whistle the Bombers took the game over the Bandits, but the winner was clearly WIRD,
with strong team players joining the league, ready to take on Sydney on the 11th of September
